Challenge
Lansdowne Partners, consistently ranked as one of the best performing and most respected hedge funds in the world*, approached Living Designs to redesign their website. Founded in 1998, managing assets valued at $14.5bn and employing over 75 people, Lansdowne Partners decided that their website was very much in need of an overhaul – from a usability, look and feel and administration perspective.

Solution

Working closely with Lansdowne Partners, it was clear that their success is founded upon intensive research and a strategic driven approach. To reflect this, our solution represented the character of a well-established institution and a look and feel comparable to a speciality, luxury product. Furthermore, it was important to portray ‘best of breed’, whilst still respecting the discreet and understated nature of an alternative investment company.

 

Result
With careful consideration to use of colour and imagery, the new site provides key information in a clear, immediate and succinct manner to Lansdowne Partners’ existing and potential investors. To compliment the institutional nature of the company, and to add a classical feel, we featured a detailed image of cornicing throughout the site.

As well as the look and feel, accessibility and security were also top of our agenda. The site complies with the all-important web standards and there are multiple levels of security access according to investor type and strategy. To facilitate client administration of the site, our web team built a bespoke content management system (CMS) enabling text editing and the upload / download of files.
